reflection and 3pt

so here is two illustrations i finished tonight. the first was supposed to have a reflection somewhere in it and im sure i could have came up with several better ideas then the dude who got shot but i was running out of time and so.. well thats all i had. i got lost in the perspective of the room, i think that the guy on the floor is not quite right and i have somehow lost my vanishing points. i felt i had to throw all that grayscale stuff in there just to save the line drawing. the second image was supposed to be a three point perspective drawing and i really wanted to kind of experiment with it. i had ordered some pen brushes online and theyve been sitting in my little pen and pencil portable storage container thing waiting to be used. sooo here is my first attempt at using them, although i failed miserably at the composition that i was trying to convey, i really liked using them and im gonna try to incorporate them in future projects.

extra credit

didnt have to go the grayscale on this but i wanted the extra credit for the assignment. i think among many things i need to work on is value. value is very difficult when you spent most of your time just penciling pretty little pictures, you never really think about taking it to the next step.

more soon

tank guy

so... uh, ok so i drew this twice because the first time you could see the top of the guys shoulders even though he was higher than the horizon line and the telephone pole was at a wierd angle. im not so happy with the figure on top of the tank.. his pose is more for like a woman i think? anyway.. im working on two more that ill post hopefully by the end of sunday, one has to have a reflection in it so we'll see what that turns out like..

saturday

got homework to do but i had this guy in my sketchbook and i thought it would be a good warm up (whatever?) to start the day. that and it adds some color to the blog.. all my stuff so far at the academy is always in grayscale.

2pt perspective

so this is supposed to be 2pt but i kinda screwed it up by not keeping the bricks on the wall to the left all vertical.

c

one pt perspective?

these drawings and the three posted below were the first and second assignments for my perspective class. these two are actually concept work for a comic book im trying to put together. since im so busy with school and work i dont really have time to work on a book of my own yet so im trying to use the assignments from school and applying them to get something done towards my own goals. thanks for looking

c

iso perspective

so... i've always snooped around this site and looked over everyones artwork. i never had the peanuts to post any of my own but being a second year illustration student and now having enough work to post i figured that i would have to just bite the bullet and start putting some of my own up.

i would greatly appreciate any feedback good or bad.

thanks for taking a peek.
